Rotors

Has anyone had issues with the rotors on their Seneca. I own a 2015 Seneca and when I parked it I noticed what looked like pieces of a rotor lying on the ground? I am taking it in to get it looked at but wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.
Thanks

Pieces of metal rotor on the ground? Sure it's not lining from the pads?

It may be lining from the pads, is this common as I have never seen it before.

Definitely not normal. It shouldn't be driven like that if it is in fact brake lining. Can you take a pic and post it?

Sometimes the non contact area of the cooling fins rust and can flake off

Yeah, get that pic if you can. I'll show my tech and see what he thinks.

I submitted a question a few weeks ago about rotors going bad on my Seneca. As it turns out the brake rotor on the rear passenger wheel was pretty much gone. My rig doesn't even have 10,000 miles on it and the place that fixed it had to replace both rotors, calipers and brake pads on both sides of the rear axle. For those of you who own a Seneca I would probably check the brake rotors on your rig. Unfortunately as I found out the extended warranty does not cover the repairs associated to this ordeal.
