Satelite on 2021 Seneca

If the Winegard® In-motion satellite dish is standard why do you need the optional Directv? What are you getting for the upgrade and cost?

The Winegard is just the satellite dish, you still need a provider. It comes pre-set for DirecTv. If using Dish, you will need to change the dip switches.

If you are talking about the “Shaw TRAV'LER Satellite Dish- DirectTV” listed in the options section of the Jayco website, this is only for Canadian customers as they need different units than the US. Like Wandrews530 says, the standard in motion satellite that comes on the Seneca is selectable for DirectTV or Dish depending on your provider.

Actually I was just researching this, we just ordered a 2021 Jayco Seneca Prestige. The one included all tv’s go to the same channel, with the Trav’ler each tv can be on their own channel. We have Dish at home so all we have to do is connect to our receivers and the wireless Joey for outside.

With the standard one you can run 2 receivers on it and have separate channels just like at home. There are LNB1 and LNB2 ports in the media cabinet. The 4x4 HDMI media box can distribute the sources to what ever TV you want, every TV can have different sources like DVD, Satellite, Cable or Aux.

I was just going by what I read on the Winegard website before I ordered it on my rig.
