Scan Gauge question
I installed a ScanGauge today and when it's plugged in I get a message on the truck side that says my parking brake is not applied. When I unplug the ScanGauge it goes away. The parking brake is definitely set. Anyone have any ideas? This is on a 2017 Seneca, Freightliner chassis.
Thanks,
John

I can’t help you because I haven’t experienced that issue but do you have the correct cord? Scan Gauge has very good customer service ( I haven’t contacted them recently ) try calling them

Thanks, I left them a message to call. I used the cord supplied, seems to fit and be the correct one.

There was a change in the required cord at some point, I'm just not sure what the Freightliner model year break was. As stated by others ScanGauge has great customer service and can likely get you taken care of. But it is a holiday weekend!
I can state I have never heard of that issue previously from any Seneca owner.

I had an issue with the female receptical in my first scan gauge. I got fault codes popping up at weird times and the screen would go blank. I finally realized this happened anytime the cord moved. Call them and got a new unit twp days later. Unit has worked great ever since.

After I had my OD lockout switch installed by Freightliner, I went to plug the ScanGauge plug back in and I got the parking brake warning light and buzzer when in drive and the brake off. I removed the ScanGauge plug and put it back in and the warning stopped. I can’t remember if I did it with the truck running or not.

Did you get this issue resolved?
I am waiting on the big brown truck to deliver my Scanguage D tomorrow so I wonder if I'll have the same issue.

I did, I called the company and they had me cycle through start up again, seems to have resolved the issue.

ScanGuage D installed no issues
My ScanGuage D arrived today and it was installed without issue. No errors of any type. Eventually I'll remove loosen the A pillar cover and attempt to hide the Scanguage cable. That will be done when I am sure I want it where it currently sits.

I needed my cubby for my sunglasses and other items so I mounted my display just to the left of the pocket. It is on a bracket bolted to the headliner material and then the display itself is mounted to my bracket with 3M Dual Lock tape so it can be easily removed. Works great!

It’s pretty easy pop the cubby out to drill a hole in back, it just clips in the headliner. Then there is plenty of room behind the a pillar cover and easily drops down to the port. I hang my sunglasses on the air horn cord
