Sealed the deal on “Zina”

First, thanks to everyone on this forum for helping out. A special thanks to Brian a.k.a rustynuts for all he does for this community and John a.k.a Gibbysworld for his awesome PDI checklist which I augmented with posts from this forum.

We sealed the deal on “Zina”, 2022.5 37K.

The PDI:

Four hours at the dealer resulted in about 10 minor issues, and two medium issues and 1 major. Second PDI resulted in another two minor issues.

I won’t touch on the minor issues but here were the medium:

1. Furnace would not fire. - Loose internal igniter wire.
2. Two bay door latches - one had cheap screws, other had failed locking mechanism.

Major issue:

Had a rub mark on the floor from dinette slide - bolted that hold dinette booth down were rubbing. - ground them down a little and made smooth again. I have my eye on this one.

Took dealer a week to resolve and hook my air for M&G brake system -mAirforce one competitor.s

Zina is currently undergoing outfitting of things I learned on this forum:

1. Cab gasket - foam backer rod between cab and house. - rustynuts
2. Mud flap reinforced- many on this forum
3. Rubber seal on bottom of all wood compartments. Looks it was just paint, but I have always added undercoating to my rigs.
4. Mirror silencers - rustynuts
5. snappads
6. Ceramic wax once the pollen stops!!!!
7. Loading and clearance of 3 motorhomes worth of crap…
8. Under coach lighting
9. I am fabricating a cover from sheet metal to block jack motor and wiring and exposure to elements…dumb to have this outside…haven’t figured this out yet.
10. Inside rig for silent running - felt pads, rubber sticky’s…etc
11. Rv butyl tape behind entry door latch.
12. Fantastic remote control vents and lids
13. Centra vac
14. The list goes on….

Once I hit the road, I’m sure I will find other issues, but that’s part of the sport…
