Seneca 2018.5 S2RV Fuel Fill

My vent line is brazed so far into the filler neck that you cannot get the larger “truck stop” diesel nozzle into the filler neck. This requires filling “up front” which is very inconvenient. Any other newer unit have this issue? If so has it been corrected?

Got a picture of the filler tube showing the vent? Not sure what you mean by filling "up front" as the 2018.5 and up you can only fill the diesel tank on the drivers side rear fill.

I believe he means filling up in front of the station with the cars using the smaller nozzle diesel pump and confined spaces.

I have a 2020 Accolade and do not have that issue.

Ahh I get it now, never deal with that as I use truck stops and Pacific Prides.

Anyway, here is a pic of mine, its a 2018.5 also. I did have a horrible slow fill problem that I fixed, it was a kinked hose connection.

If it is by chance still under warranty, make Jayco fix it, if it isn't I only see 2 options....Remove the filler tube which wouldn't be that hard and cut the vent tube off OR stuff several layers of rags in the tube and cut off vent line and use a vacuum as you pull each layer of rags up.....Personally I would remove it to cut it off. Should be able to cut it off with a recip saw and long blade. Here is a pic of mine and a pic of the hole connections behind the panel, you can get to these hose clamps by reaching up behind the white panel.

My 2018.5 S2RV chassis fills in the rear (toward the back of the mh) the 100 gal. single tank. (Same location as my 2006 Jayco Seneca 35 GS filled it’s 80 gal. tank.) The vent line extends 3/4 inch or more into the filler neck. Thus large diesel nozzle will not fit.

Here's a pic of my fuel fill (2020 S2RV). The vent tube protrudes into the fill tube by a maximum of about 1/8 inch. It looks like mine is trimmed even closer than Rustynuts.
