Seneca- Engine crank irregularity

2015 37ts M2-106 chassis with 15K miles. Anyone ever experience a random no crank when rotating the key to the crank position. Upon a second cycling of the key the engine cranks and starts. All battery voltages and connections are checked and verified. Gear selector confirmed in PARK, dash lights and buzzers operate normally. To soon to be a starter issue??? possible relay?

are you starting a cold motor? are you waiting for the "intake heater light" to go out before turning the key to start?

If it were me, Id grab my voltmeter and attach the leads on the small lugs on the starter relay on the fire wall. I would then watch the voltmeter while turning the key and see if I get 12 volts to the relay. If I did see 12 volts and no start. The problem points towards the start relay or starter. If I didn't see 12 volts, it points towards the Bulkhead module then ignition switch. Then again, I could be wrong.

Just got off a 500 mile trip with no issues. I did toss a remote starter button in my tool box just in case. That starter circuit goes thru the range selector, Cummins PCM, solenoid then starter. I think I will pick up a spare solenoid and starter just in case.
