Seneca Entrance Door

We have a 2013 Seneca 36FK. Does anyone know how to access the underside of the entrance door sill plate? The anchor pin attached to the sill for the gas cylinder is coming loose and needs attention. i started looking around that area and can't quite find a simple way to access it without taking out the steps and who knows what else. Any help, tips, or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Can the anchor pin be tightened from the top after removing the gas cylinder?

I tried that and it doesn't act like t wants to tighten up. I think it either has a nut on the bottom or the threads have pulled out of the mount.

Ours is slightly different and sits along the top of the door. The door side bracket is held on with three self-tapping screws but they have a tendency to work themselves loose after just a few months of door operation.
We have been trying to devise a solution but haven't had much success, such as larger screws, screws with nuts on the inside of the door,??
