Seneca Front Grill
Good Morning-
Has anyone upgraded or changed out their front grill on a Seneca to a Caliber 9 or similar? I think it looks nice on the Dynamax but curious to see what it looks like on the Seneca. Thanks!

Personally I don’t care for them. I do know they are VERY spendy and more than I would pay for a grill.

Better things to do with my money. Doubt there would be any return on the investment.

I like the look of a stock Freightliner grill assembly. But I also know a lot of people like to customize their vehicles.
From the images, my only concern is air flow through the radiator. I always like ensuring enough air flow to my radiators (coolant, oil, tranny).
If you decide to make the change, make sure to post some images.

While anyone is considering this, look at the machine screws that hold your grill in place. I found one entirely missing and two of the four loose. Picked up new ones at the dealership and reinstalled with a little Loctite on the threads.

Sorry that I maybe off topic a bit here. But one day when I was at the Freightliner dealership I noticed the brand new M2 cab and chassis’s they had sitting on the sales lot had a built in bug screen behind what looked to be the same grill we have in our Seneca’s. Has anybody looked into these? I did go into the parts dept. to see if I could get some info in the grill/screen but they were backed right up with several people waiting, so never got anywhere with info on it.
Thanks
Bruce

Seen some at Raney's truck parts, they have screens that go on the outside.

I found ours the same way, one missing, the rest loose. I am assuming it is removed for paint and they just slap it back on and out the door it goes.

I got tired of trying keep the dead bugs off of the radiator core. I cut a piece of fiberglass screen that I had for repairing screen doors. Secured it with small zip ties under hood. I keep it away from direct contact with radiator so as to not restrict airflow. Would be easier to install on the outside but would look tacky IMO. So far so good, easy to replace and remove.

I did the same thing.... cut some screen and put it behind the Freightliner grill. I also put some down below. There is one spot that is not covered with my screen and you can see the radiator fins are all bent up.

Ya, I’m trying to avoid putting anything on the outside of the grill as well, may have to look at placing some screen behind. But first I’m going to try and get into the Freightliner dealer at check what they have on the new M2’s sitting on the lot.
