I had the same issue. There was a bracket there but no fastener. I just shot a self tapper with a rubber washer so I could remove but prevent cracking with the washer as relief.

Finally replace mine after 6 years. They would hold a charge but not a load. I think they were dead much earlier but I always run the generator so I didn’t notice.

Replaced mine late last summer. Was not very difficult, just need to take your time and be careful using a wrench in the tight battery compartment. I changed out all breakers including the Bussman 100Amp. The new model has a test button which came in handy when I changed my house batteries last week. Just hit the test button to isolate the chassis batteries and hit the battery disconnect in the coach.
