If you are referring to the M2 106, this was in the 2012 release (probably in 2011). Unfortunately the suspension was not air until mid 2013.

The SRV2 was in 2017 (2018 model year), although many of us have a 2018 on an M2.

Not sure what you mean about MS.
Early Senecas were built on General Motors Kodiak chassis until GM stopped production of the Kodiak. The first Freightliner M2-106 Seneca models were in 2012. The M2 continued until mid-year 2018 when Jayco switched to the Freightliner S2RV chassis, which looks nearly identical to the M2.

The first Freightliner M2 Senecas had leaf spring rear suspensions and 19.5" tires, then sometime in 2013 they went to the "Airliner" rear air bag suspension and 22.5" tires and wheels. The S2RV continues to have the Airliner rear air suspension and 22.5" tires. All Freightliner Senecas have front leaf spring suspensions.

The 2012 - 2015 M2 Senecas have 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes (with ABS) and then in 2016 they changed to air drum brakes (with ABS). The air drum brakes carry over to the S2RV chassis also.

Actually, can you tell me if there is a difference in ride comparing models from 2012 up when they switched to the M2?

While I have a model with the rear air ride, I have heard from others that the earlier (2012) Freightliner Senecas with traditional rear leaf springs did ride more harshly than the later versions equipped with the air springs. No actual experience myself.

If you are asking how newer Freightliners compare to the older Kodiak-based Senecas I have no experience there either. But I have seen many posts regarding chassis upgrades those owners have made to make those Kodiak chassis ride and handle as well as their owners expect. Some spend many thousands of dollars to be happy.

But few complain, and most owners commend, how the well the Freightliners handle and ride when it is 2013+ unit with the Freightliner Airliner rear air suspension. Again, I don't know enough about the handling and ride characteristics of a 2012 with the rear leaf springs.

Perhaps someone that has owned both a Kodiak-based unit and now a Freightliner model will relate some real-world experiences.
