Seneca Oil Capacity

Anyone change their oil yet? Not sure which oil pan is on the Cummins as there are two possible oil pans with different capacities. So, with filter change how many quarts does she take?

Thanks

I looked up the engine on Cummins Quick Serve based on the engine serial number and it shows 20qts with filter change. Can that be correct? Yours only held 16?

The oil filter on the 6.7 Cummins does not look easy to get to. Does anyone have any
good tips on how to remove and replace?

My owners manual says 12qts with filter. Was surprised when it took 16 qts.

I went from directly underneath it. Broke it loose then spun it off from the bottom. It was difficult to break loose on the first change.

So, changed the oil last night. Holy smokes that was the tightest oil filter I've ever had to remove! So I filled the filter to the top (1.5 QTS) and dumped 14.5 down the valve cover. Started engine, let sit and had to add two more to top off. 18qts total. Mr. Oz used 16, Cummins Quickserve stated 20, and mine took 18, what's up with that?

Contact a good auto parts store and get an oil filter relocation kit.. they are worth every penny...
