Seneca outside TV questions

I have a 2018 37TS with the outside TV

I cannot get a signal from the HDMI box to the TV. The indicator light on the Cat 5 cable shows good and the other 2 TVs work ok. The TV works on the air antenna but shows no signal on the HDMI setting.

I have been unable to get access to the back of the TV to see what the problem may be.

How do you access the back of the TV ?? Need advice/info.

Thanks

On mine the TV is held in the cabinet by magnets. The first time I tried pulling the tv forward to articulate on the mounting arm I thought I was going to pull the tv off, it was stuck pretty tight on the magnets.

Once the tv is rotated out it allows access to a small removable panel behind. 4 screws and this panel comes off. Mine had some sort of a line amplifier (maybe what it’s called) that wasn’t plugged in to the 110v outlet correctly. I unplugged it and replugged it correctly. Works perfectly now.

Thank you very much. Same drill …….pull very hard open the lower panel and plug in the power supply that for some reason was left un plugged.

It must be a power booster because of the connection from the blue Cat 5 at the Matrix box to the orange Cat 5 that was plugged in to the TV.

This forum is awsome

FYI if you stick a piece of Gorilla Tape on the magnet and trim the excess off, it still sticks good and makes it a lot easier to open. I did the same thing in the bedroom tv one.

Didn't know that . . . will see if it's a 2016 feature too.

Our 2016 does not have magnets or an articulating arm. I just removed and re-installed our outside TV to get access to the back of the kitchen cabinets. The TV is just screwed to a metal plate and that metal plate is screwed to the frame in the wall. You remove six screws and the TV falls right out.

But if you want an articulating mount so viewing is better, it can be added!

Kinda figured as much, thanks. But the articulation we would find useful would be in the [down] vertical direction, not so much horizontal. We don't watch it that much anyway, seems odd being out in nature with a big screen TV on.

It does angle down somewhat, enough to improve the viewing angle. Before, I needed high top chairs to get a good picture!

Ive got a 2018.5 FS. Outside TV works, gets picture, but no sound.
Any suggestions. No sound on the aux radio either.
Thanks.

On my 2014 Jayco had apparently "forgotten" to connect the audio cables to the outside TV. Video, yes; red and white RCA cables to "audio in"; no! Also had to go into TV's menu and enable the "audio in" function.

Thanks Rob.
All video connections are plugged in correctly. I can unplug the red/white video cables from the back of the TV, and I get sound thur the TV speakers. Nothing from the Furrion stereo speakers. no radio sound.
Getting power to the Furrion DV5600, and have checking all speaker wire connections. Maybe a bad Furrion player?

I wish it was not winter outside. Our outside TV has power but no input. I have tried everything. Even unbolted it from the wall. Robbbyr not sure I understand the wiring comments.

Our TV's (originally) use legacy RCA cables to interconnect the components, there were cables needed between the outside DVD/Stereo and the TV to relay the signal from the DVD player to the TV, and also cables to send the TV sound back to the stereo so it will play back from the speakers.

Apparently Jayco was in a hurry when they were finishing up mine and had forgotten to connect (or even provide) all the needed cables. Got the cables from my "collection" here and it works as intended.
