Seneca PDI

Just wondering how long your dealer spent with you doing the PDI inspection and did it meet your expectations.

Since you already own a previous MH, you have a good idea of how most of the systems work.

Since they generally try to rush things thru, I would focus on making sure everything is in working order as the first priority - so it can be noted and fixed by the dealer. Ours was rushed, started at closing time and did not meet our expectations at all!

Then you can focus on the Seneca features that are unique to that unit. I would not trust the person doing the PDI to be really knowledgable about your rig... you can get more information from the owners manual and JOF than the guy that did our PDI.

And... Congrats on the new rig!

I have learned my lesson on poor PDI, at least I hope on my 5th wheel no power no water and in a location where I could not hook up my tow vehicle. On the Seneca they scheduled delivery at 2PM and we did not get started until after 4 PM. So basically signed the loans made a list of descepancies that the dealer never took care of. Say what you will Camping Wotld worked with me on many warrantee items. My dealer was the pits at every step of the way.

I refused to sign the paperwork until after the PDI. So they/we scheduled it for 8AM the following day. All went smoothly, finished about 1600. Signed the paperwork and left the rig there so that they could fix the deficiencies. Picked the rig up about 1700 and drove to NJ. Happy with the rig and dealer. Only minor problems since, most of which I fixed. A few warranty/recall items from Freightliner.
