Seneca question

I went over to my storage lot to check on things today and when I open the coach door i saw a red light. this is the disconnect power button in the stairwell. I couldn't turn it off, the light stayed on. So did I leave it on and wear the batteries down or is this a sign that my converter went bad. I tried my lights but nothing came on and I couldn't plug into shore power to check it that way.

Any advice would be helpful, Thanks

Possibly dead batteries, start the Chassis engine up and see if you get the house lights to come on. The coach will start to charge the house batteries. Do you have the unit plugged in? if it is plugged in the microwave and outlets should work. if it is not plugged in possible something was left on or something in the coach is parasitically draining your batteries.

It is possible that the fuse on the battery disconnect is bad but you need to see if you have any power in your batteries. check the voltage on them.

Thanks, I think it was the batteries. I brought the coach home and everything was working after a 15 minute drive. Time to check the batteries.

Thanks again. I just checked my batteries and when I pulled the cover off the first one I can see it's way low on water. Not only that all 4 of my battery straps had fallen off, one was missing and the other 3 had broken snaps. My PDI was 3 months ago.

I would refill and recharge. Then take them to a shop to have them tested before I took the unit for a trip. I would not want to be in the middle of a trip and have to replace them.

Good luck on your trips and safe travels.
