Seneca Rear Roof Air Not Cooling

Hi all,

My '14 Seneca's rear roof air is not getting cold. I can hear the compressor running as I have climbed up there to be sure. I've felt both sets of lines, neither change temp after several minutes of the compressor running.

Can anyone recommend any other troubleshooting steps I can go through?

I spoke to a local repair shop and they said it was likely that it had a leak somewhere in the system and that it would be best to just replace the whole unit........

Really???? A coleman-mach hp2 is nearly a grand. There must be something cheaper to repair a mechanically functioning unit thats only 3 years old.

Could be a leak or it could be a stuck reversing valve. Does it work on heat? If it does then that is the malfunction. Unfortunately repair costs usually come close to replacement. Even COLEMAN replaces vs repair when under warranty.

It's an easy DIY "if" you can get the new one on and the old one off the roof. Shop will probably charge 2 hours.

Our front one went out. A solder joint cracked and lost the 410. Used a tractor with a bucket right at the RV park to lift it. Literally a 20min job. Got charged 1.5 hours but it was under warranty. A complete new unit was about $800.
