Seneca rear valve stems.
Well I’ve now complete a couple of 800 mile RT’s and must say I’m pleased with my “new” valve stem setup on my rear wheels. I already had the stem extensions and rubber stabilizers on the inside tires, but had the outside tires stems turned around and had the cool SS valve caps put on (so you can check and fill without removing a cap) nice little upgrade IMO.

Looks great Jim. Was curious what others had done. Going to do something similar when we return home. Just a couple of days left in our first trip out with the new Seneca.

I did the same last March. They had to break down the outer tires to rotate the stems but now checking and adjusting pressure is relatively easy.
As a note there are multiple types of inserts so you need to get the right ones for your style of wheels.
We have over 6k on the rig since the change.

I have the contact for the wheel inserts (at home) and the exact spec (the supplier had me measure and worked with me on mine) if you need info.

I think I recall you posting on this, I was expecting the same thing (breaking down the outside tires) but the truck tire service place I was referred to in Salinas, CA was able to loosen and spin the stems without damaging the stem to wheel seals.
I was pretty happy about that - with the 6 new “leave on” valve stem caps, I spent about $30.00 - tipped the young man that did the work $20.00 for making my life easier!

Are those black plastic bits inline with the stem TPMS sensors?

I think your referring to the pieces under the TPMS sensor/stem cap on the inner wheel extension?
If so, it’s just a bit of rubber pipe insulation tape providing a bit of cushion/protection between the TPMS/stem and the Alcoa aluminum wheel. Even with the stem stabilizer inserts, they will flex a bit at speed and can contact the rim.

No, I am referring to the large black object connected to the valve stem.

Same as the rear - part of the TST system I have (which I’d recommend)

I use EezTire system. I have the Pass-Thru sensor on both the front and rear. I am concerned that the sensors are too big for the front. Thinking of changing to the smaller cap style on the front.
