Seneca S2RV Fuel Cap

During my weekend trip my fuel cap on the 2020 Accolade disappeared. Went to fill up on the way home, opened the tank door and there was no cap on the filler tube.

Does anyone know the part number for the S2RV fuel cap?

A picture of the cap would also be appreciated.

Since the tanks are different between the M2 and S2 I'm not sure they use the same fuel cap.

It looks like it’s just a Stant fuel cap. Not any part number on it but you should be able to get it at any good auto parts store.

Many thanks. Possible to get a pic of the threads. Stant makes a couple different threaded ones. One has multiple threads (approx 3 turns) and another has a single thread (about 3/4 turn).

Again, many thanks.

I’ve often thought it would be easy to loose that cap because you have to set it someplace when refueling. I’m going to look and see if I can drill a small hole in the twist part of the cap and attach a lanyard so I can just let it hang on the side of the RV when refueling.

Strange, on our 2018.5 the cap is on a plastic lanyard, you can see it here in this pic.

Also, this is a nice little item I got after the pump didn’t kick off fast enough and puked diesel down the side of the coach. This snaps on over the filler neck and any spillage is carrier away from the body. It just folds up and close the cover.

I'll have to look into that fuel cap bib.

No plastic lanyard on my 2020's fuel cap. I'm beginning to. think I left it on top of the diesel pump when I filled up back in March.

Go to your favorite parts store(s) and ask to see a Stant 10830D fuel cap, and see if it's the one you need.

Just received a message from Rob at motored.com and the cap is

10834 is a black cap
10830D is a green cap and both are non-locking

The locking replacement is
10504

NAPA had the fuel cap in stock. NAPA part number 703-1383. New cap fit like a glove. The cost was 10.52 including sales tax (9.99 before tax).

Next question, has anyone tried replacing the fuel door latch with a cam lock? It looks to me like a cam lock similar to the ones used on class c storage compartments or the fresh water fill should fit on that fuel door. Might be cheaper than buying a locking fuel cap.
