Seneca step override?

Found a bolt under on ground below electric step. Something broke. Motor runs but doesn’t engage gear. Is there a manual override to lock it closed until I get to a shop or is this a job for zip ties?

Zip ties, no manual override.

you will probably have to disengage the motor completely so it will allow you to push it in then zip tie it shut CAREFULLY!!

No manual override. You have to disconnect the motor linkage to the steps and tie them up. Use something stronger then Zip-ties.

On first outing mine just would not retract (Magnets on screen door fell off) so had to go through the process.
