I have a 2015 37FS, currently pulling a 2018 F-150 Supercab. Thinking of upgrading trucks due to work to a Denali 2500 Super Crew. Does anyone currently tow a 3/4 ton truck? Any issues?
We tow a 26' enclosed trailer with a Jeep and 4 motorcycles inside.
Only issue we have run into is uphill power/speed. Just can't get in a hurry.
Brakes great and handles great just have to right lane it on the hills.
We are never the slowest rig on the big uphills but we are not passing the slowest rigs either...

How long is the total "package" with a trailer? Any issues getting into campgrounds with a trailer, meaning are the spots long enough for the Seneca, trailer, and the vehicle?

Way too many variables to accurately answer this question....
Total length with a trailer will depend on the trailer length. My last 20' flat bed had a 4' tongue so it measured 24' total length. My enclosed trailer is a V-nose and they call it a 26' model but the squared box part measures a bit over 22' and the overall is close to 29'.
A trailer length will often be longer than the manufacturer's stated trailer size because they do not account for tongue length.
Campground spots vary in length. Some campgrounds with short spots have areas to park a trailer and others do not.
We find out camping spot lengths prior and this helps us decide if we are going to trailer or flat tow.

Overall... we are 65' 6" combined.
In the past 3 years of half-time camping, we have only encountered two campgrounds that we had to separate the trailer from the Seneca while camped. Both of these campgrounds were in the heart of the city, or on the waterfront where they had the campground layed out so they could get the maximum number of RV's on the acre of land. The spaces were smaller than 19Ft X 50Ft in Ft. Lauderdale(Davie FL). We had to move the picnic table behind the Seneca to get our slides opened next to the neighbors who have their slides open too.
All of the rest of our travels - we pull in with our trailer staying connected, stay the week or month and move on. When we call to see if they have an available space - we just tell them our size... they don't seem to have an issue at all with our size. We have more issues having three dogs - than we do with finding a space we can fit.

What is your trailer weight - fully loaded on the axles? Have you gone over a scale? I am assuming that you are much heavier than we are...
Your LJ and our FJ don't have much difference in weight. Our FJ is a bit heavier than stock with the ARB, Winch, Skid/Rock-rails, Xtra Battery and Recovery gear. I'm thinking you have done some of the same...
But just curious with you hauling 4 bikes and stuff too.

We are pulling a V-nose that measures 29' tail to coupler. Just loaded and scaled last night and came out at 8850lbs with 1000lb tongue weight with the following in it.
Canam X3 XDS
2 seat sandrail with LS2 V8
60 gallons of fuel
Lil Timber Pellet heater and 5 bags of pellets
2 - Radmini Ebikes
Camco 36 gallon water tote (empty)
Milwaukee Rollout too box (150lbs)
Assorted spare parts (50lbs)
Compressor
A little of everything for a couple weeks of fun, pulls great and hardly know its back there.

To summarize your answer into what I was looking for:
2015 -2018 Seneca is about 38'. 38' + 24" = 62' overall length of total package; 38" + 29' = 67' overall length; Variables depend upon where you park for the night, etc. Some places cannot handle that total length, especially some national parks that limit the length to 30' or less, so it is best to get that info in advance. Thanks for the help.

Those are my trailer lengths.... you still didn't state your trailer length.
My numbers won't help you or anyone here determine your overall length with YOUR trailer. If you post your trailer length then a realistic number (instead of my numbers) could be used.
If you are looking at National Parks that limit to 30' and you are driving a Seneca and questioning if a trailer will also fit..... then you may want to reconsider your camping locations even without the trailer.

I have not weighed it. My trailer is an ATC (all aluminum) so it doesn't weigh much more than my 20' flatbed did when empty.
One of these days I need to roll through a scale and see where we are on weight.

Hi, You answered my question and gave me the info I was curious about. It is very apparent that if I own a 18' trailer and you own a 26' trailer the lengths would be different because 26' is longer than 18', right? Thank you for reminding me about the national parks limiting length to 30 as I had forgotten I had written that in my summary and from when we owned our 28' Class A Trek.
Anyway, thanks for the info. Keep on giving good answers and contributing to this forum.
