Slide not coming in all the way at the bottom

We have a 2015 Jayco Seneca 37FS with a Schwintec slide on the bedroom and bunk room side. I have seen several posts about slides not coming in evenly from side to side but our slide seems to be dragging on the carpet and the top comes all the way in but the bottom is still out about 4 or 5 inches. Any suggestions on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated.

The rack and piñon system frequently gets out of timing side to side but the nature of the rack and pinion makes top to bottom offset less frequent and more difficult to correct. Normally the h channel holding the piñons will need to be removed from the side of the coach and reset to align with the correct position on the rack. A few things to check to see if the gears have jumped locations. Put slide part way out and measure distance on all four tracks. These should all be the same, if the top are smaller than the bottoms then you probably have jumped a few teeth. Pull back the seals around the h channel on the side wall and be sure the screws are not broken and the slide is sitting evenly in the cutout. Look closely at the gear mechanism where the piñons meet the rack. Make sure the thrust blocks are secure and not loose. Inspect the bottom of the slide. There should be roller under there. Make sure they are there. Also make sure there is no damage to the underside of the slide.

We have a 2018 37FS

October 4th we had an appointment with Vroom Engineering in Tucson, AZ. They replaced our troublesome rear slide system. It works mucho better. It's worth it.

I had one replaced

I had a slide replaced at Arizona RV services in Masa AZ. They did a great job and in cost about $2300. It was on a big slide.

Vroom did it in one day. They are booked out because they only do one or two a day, so it takes awhile to get on the schedule. At the time of our replacement they were charging $4,000 it didn't matter the size.

Masa goes in tamales. Mesa is a city in Arizona (metro Phoenix) LOL, Mesa, in Spanish means table top. Just saying for all the Gringos out there.

Too bad the RV manufacturers don't at least make the Vroom slide system an option. We had the rear slim rack kitchen slide drive assembly replaced under warranty, didn't even last 2 years. I feel like it's just a matter of time until the next failure.
