Slide seals

Hey Y'all,

We're first time RVers with a new-to-us 2017 37HJ..Tackling the normal wear and tear items. Anybody have any experience with replacing the slide seals/wipers? Cost to have it done vs DIY?

Been searching YouTube vids and it doesn't appear to be rocket surgery.

Thoughts?

If you're talking replacing the slide out material...it's not hard onece you figure it out. and the seals are just a press in fit.

Pretty easy.....once you find what style of wiper/seal you have. Lippert was very helpful in determining the style. The one I replaced was an outside wiper on the bedroom slide. The one I replaced and the new one were both held on by an adhesive strip.

wiper seals

Thanks for the tips,

The local Jayco dealer is unresponsive to my emails with photos. I will look up Lippert and see what happens with them.

What kind of caulking is used at the ends and where the wipers meet?
