Sewer Line Storage

I just used a 6" PVC pipe, put flared ends on it to keep the sewer line contained. The ends are loose so I can extend it if needed. The pipe is six foot long. It is mounted under the trailer or sometimes on the tongue, depends on the trailer I am taking. It can be mounted anywhere and any way. And it makes it easy to dump, because it is ridged. It's on my trailer right now, and the trailer is in storage. When I can get to it, I will post some pictures.

And where do you store or attach something like an 8' fence post?

I used the fence posts, caps with threaded bolts with wing nuts and lock washers.

I attached two of them to the rear bumpers brackets that came with the trailer.

Angle drilled and locknutted. I bottomed out once in Tennessee and it scuffed one cap, otherwise works great.

Painted everything flat black, everyone compliments on them.

After having to purchase an extra 10' section I welded an extra bumper on top of my back bumper to store the hose. Pretty extreme solution and didn't even think of using a PVC fence post or pipe before that. Wouldn't do it again, but it did give me the extra storage.

Sewer pipe storage

I rinse my hose out and couple it back to itself. Stored in the side door of my TT. Never had it leak. Also my water hose is drained, coiled and connected to itself. I see a lot of videos on You Tube that are rolled up and tossed in a compartment. You want to keep dirt and bugs out of your drinking water hose.

I have it on my class C. Mounted it underneath my rig, just behind the sewer dump. I attached it with band iron. Hasn’t moved or given me an issue in 2 years! A lot faster and less thinking than making one up. Got it online at good old Walmart, real cheap price, decent quality!

Too bad the manufactures are too cheap to have a rear bumper. That is where we store our sewer pipe and it works great.

My last motorhome had a rear bumper, the Accolade doesn't and I need two hoses because Entegra put two gray tanks with the drain valves over 10' apart.

A "Black Tank Bin" is my current solution but I'd like that room back dagnabbit!

What you folks doing for this issue?

I have used the Valdera on my last two RVs and will also use it on my new one. The only weak link may be the small plastic latch but ours have been good for the last 7-8 years and are like new.

I ordered a version of it. I'll know more when it gets here.

I ended up mounting two of the Valterra ones under the wet bay and it’s worked out great and very handy,

Nice job, looking at doing the same thing but might go with the shorter tube as I use the Rhino tubes that compress fairly well. Did you bend the aluminum brackets yourself? That has been the only piece that has held me up from doing it.

Yes I bent them up myself out of aluminum. On the back end I used the clamps in the link below bolted through a bracket and then replaced one of the fuel tank mounting bolts with a longer one and then bolted the bracket to the longer bolt. On the outside end, I had already bolted aluminum angle to the compartment to flatten them out and stiffen the bottoms, I just bolted a bracket to the angle I already had there. I also use the Rhino hose and I just leave one end expanded about 8” and the hose fits nice in the 46” tube.

I have an 8' piece of ABS with FIP's and threaded caps at either end. Mounted it to the frame just behind the axel and in front of the rear jacks. Works great, holds 15' of Rhino hose. I will post PICS when it gets back from its most recent trip to the shop.

Purchase a plastic storage container from Dollar General with lid. I have 2-10ft, 1-5ft, 1-y to connect the grey waters together, and 1-threaded ell that connects to campground sewer. Use the macerator when it reaches. You need to flush out your hoses after you dump. Dollar General also has those air freshner things, toss one in the storage container.
I also use Pine Sol in all my grey and black tanks.
