Slinky Storage (Poop Pipe?)

I am very hesitant to order to Valdera sewer hose storage. Too many reviews say it's flimsy. Before I go crafting one of my own, which is typical, I thought I'd pick the hive mine for a setup that saves me all the thinking. My last motorhome had a rear bumper, the Accolade doesn't and I need two hoses because Entegra put two gray tanks with the drain valves over 10' apart.

A "Black Tank Bin" is my current solution but I'd like that room back dagnabbit!

What you folks doing for this issue?

I use a heavy black bin with a cover. Works fine

Buy a section of ABS or PVC pipe long enough to fit your hoses. Then put end cap on one end and a threaded coupler with a threaded cap on the other.

I made one from a 5" plastic fence post and caps and attached it to the underbelly with plumbers tape. I also bought a plastic gutter which fits inside the fence post. The hose and accessories go in the gutter which I can slide out to access the hose and accessories. I use extension springs to hold the caps in place.

We carry a few of the extension hoses so that we can connect them together to reach an "out of the way" dump connection. Not all RV parks have convenient sewer connections and this has solved a many problems for us.

As you have a newer Seneca, I can only describe our "wet bay" behind the drivers drive tire. We have plenty of room for all of the sewer hoses we carry, and other items that are dirty/smelly/unpleasent to carry in the regular bay. I also installed a couple of drain fittings in the bottom of this bay so I can hose everything down while it is in the bay - and let it drain.

We do not keep our fresh water hoses in this bay!

I think I'll try putting the three 10' Rhino's I carry in the wet bay, at least until I can try what Thomson and Garlicdude have suggested. Definitely preferable the that big bin taking up valuable space.

Hiya,

I ordered a 37K which has two gray tanks and two black tanks. Although the valves are in different locations - passenger side and driver side of coach, all the tanks dump into the mercerator housing. From there I should be able to use the Mercator hose or hookup a sticky slinky which I understand I could store in the same bay. Does the 37L have different dump locations? (Not valves). In the event my sticky slinky can’t reach or mercerator hose can’t reach, I plan on using the black water flush hose(stored in wet bay away from fresh hose in another bay) to attach to mercerator hose end(has a hose fitting). Should do the trick me thinks.

Update According to entegra specs, you should have two gray tanks and one black tank. You should only have one location to dump and two gray valves.

I prefer the Rhino-Flex hose as it can be collapsed down short and then capped on each end or looped and connected to itself and it will stay short and is sealed up from odor. I can easily fit a 15’ and 10’ on the left side of the wet bay…..but I have removed my macerator so I have a little more room. I also carry an extra 20’ in a sealed tote in another bay. Robert put a storage tube in his Seneca but his is on a M2 chassis so it won’t work on the S2 because of the fuel tank.

Here is a link to Roberts install.

I have a TS and I ran a 5" PVC pipe from my wet bay across to the opposite side compartment where it is terminated. Both ends have a 5" cap to access the hose. It will hold a 15' and a 10' RhinoFlex hoses. I just open the cap, pull out the hose, break it if I only need the 15', then cap it back off. I generally only access it from the wet bay end but if needed I can open that end too.

It's now covered with black undercoating so it blends right into the undercarriage.

5” x 8’ long Vinyl fence post with caps from Home Depot works great. I put all my fittings in it too.

I do have two gray and one black tank. The forward gray tank has it's own dump valve and is not connected to the remainder of the system. Front gray tank is washer/dryer and kitchen sink. Rear gray tank is shower and bathroom sink. Rear gray and black dump through the wet bay by hose or maceration.

I've got it figured out though. Between this "Y" connector and my three 10' Rhino Extreme hoses, as well as all the usual accessories, I should be fine. Click image for larger version

Yes. I noticed the fuel tank obstruction and am sad because Robbbyr has a great solution. Thanks for that link.

Love this Robbbyr. If only Jayco had done this...

This is what I will end up doing. I think the Rhinos compress enough to get at least two of them in there

I used the DWINCORP sewer hose carrier, sold by Valterra, stretched across the underbelly next to the black tank flush area. Have not had an issue with it for two years going now...does't seem too flimsy to me...and I didn't have to support the tube in the middle either. But like others stated, many other options.

The vinyl fence post with two caps is pretty pricey but worth it. I had to order online and ship to store for free.

Okay, had to search for a version of that. Higher ratings. $79 but not really a gamble, since I'm sure I can make it work.

Thank you to everyone

I don't have a good picture or an inside the wet bay picture, but this is what I have in my 08 seneca put on by the previous owner. It is a 90 with an extension and a cap. Inside looks like a toilet flange to hold the top of the 90 in place. It swivels all the way around. So the my drain in allows hooked up and the full hose is up inside the tube. So all i do is remove cap pull hook put my clear 90 and drain. I rinse with the tank rinse system, so no messy hose to drag around.

That's pretty neat too. Thank you

I’m pretty sure that tube was factory as I read about them breaking and people trying to make one up like it as it’s not an off the shelf item.
