Transporting Bikes with Super C
Hello everyone,
I was wondering what everyone does to transport bicycles. I have the 37L and we dolly tow a Honda Odyssey. I don't think I can put a bike rack on the hitch of the Odyssey as the hitch is too low, but I haven't tried it. I was thinking about a ladder rack for a couple of bikes, but not sure if the ladder is strong enough. Just curious as to what you do. We are a family of 5, so 2 adult bikes and 3 kids bikes. Thanks in advance for the help!

Get a bike rack for the back of your Honda... You will still need it to take your bikes with you to the destination you wish to ride...

Shopping for a bicycle rack to use on our flat tower Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I liked a couple of the Kuat rack. BUT the description says not for use on flat towed vehicles. What is the reason??

I definitely like the idea of attaching it to the odyssey. Then you can use it at home, or while traveling. As the kids grow you can take off to some trail head.
Some of the roof rack units allow for a lot of bikes.
Back of the odyssey or on top would be my preference.

Why not use a roof mounted bike rack on the Honda?

First, the hitch bike racks go up the back and not down so it wouldn't be any lower. than the hitch. You could also get a high low adapter to raise the bike rack higher than the hitch. Use it in the high position.

Second, the. ladders are generally rated for a 250 pound person. Do the bike weight more than 250 pounds?
The third option is to install a front hitch on the Seneca and then mount a hitch mounted bike rack. Might be a PITA, however, whenever you need to open the hood.

My problem is that the hitch on the odyssey is pretty low. With the front wheels up in the air and the bike rack extending 4”, the bottom of the rack will be pretty low. I may try it that way and see, but the dual hitch seems like a really good option.
