Where to mount my WeBoost antenna and US Flag?

As everyone knows, Jayco does not install ladders on their Seneca's. My problem is, I used the ladder on my Class A to mount a WeBoost antenna and ole glory. I have been scouring the internet looking for ideas, but I am striking out with the antenna. I found a solution for the US Flag using the receiver and a flag pole hitch, but nothing on the antenna.

My question is, how did you mount your WeBoost antenna?

Thanks in advance.

Pete

As a temporary mount I am using a telescoping pole attached to suction cups on the side of the coach. I also bought a magnetic antenna from Weboost and mount it on the hood for locations with decent coverage or if I am too lazy to set up the telescoping pole. As a permanent location I am thinking about reinforcing the AC cover and mounting to that. If I do that I was planning on using the cable to the "Satellite prep" on the roof to connect the antenna to the booster.

My 2018.5 37TS has a ladder. Wonder if this was an option. I noticed when we were shopping for a coach some of the Seneca's had them and some didn't.

Our 2019, did not come with a ladder, dealer claims it was a safety issue. Have to wonder, Jayco sill installs ladders on their trailers. I am looking at using a marine mast, mounted to the bottom of the AC. The marine mast is collapsable and is stowed with driving. Thanks everyone for your input.

We attached our Weboost antenna to the passenger side rear-view mirror. So far it works great when we need it. No issues to speak of, except a little corrosion on the nuts & bolts.

Do you have an aluminum flag pole with a metal truck (ball) on top?

You could drill a hole in the top of the truck, mount the antenna to the top of it, and take the necessary steps to secure the truck to the top of the flag pole. You can run the cable down the inside of the flag pole. May need a longer cable for this project.

Ed, I just got the same WeBoost setup and am going to use the OEM Freightliner CB antenna mount that bolts to the mirror arm. How has your WeBoost been working with the antenna low and to the side of the motorhome instead of getting it up above the unit? I was thinking of getting some extensions like is used on the OTR to get it up higher.

Thanks

I tried several things on my travel trailer, but the very best I found was a mop and broom holder from Home Depot. I stand my long antenna pole up by the rear of my travel trailer (when stopped, of course) and this holds the pole firmly in place. It works for me....

The key to the boosters is isolation between the 2 antennas, mainly vertical isolation. The more vertical isolation you get, the closer to the advertised gain will be realized.

Rustynuts, we haven't had any issues with our Weboost so far. I was a bit concerned with the antenna banging against the overhead area while going down the interstate, but that has not happened to yet.

Ok dumb question here, although I know there is no such thing as a dumb question.

If someone has a Winegard Connect 2 installation (WiFI + 4G LTE) should they also consider a cell signal booster like Weoost and if so why?

I don't have a Seneca, and I have a ladder. I mounted my OTR antenna on to the fridge vent cover, with a pivoting bracket. I wanted it above the roof of the rig.

When we park, I scamper up the ladder, and flip up the antenna. When we pack up, I scamper back up, and fold it down.

Hey everyone:

Here is an update to my original post. I did a ton of research and found the MOFI4500-4GXeLTE-SIM4. The unit has a SIM card slot, I use the SIM card from my Verizon Jetpack. It has two external antenna's and two WIFI network antenna's. It is also has a router with several Ethernet plugs. You can use the two mobile antenna's or you can attach two external antenna's. While mobile, I use the internal antenna's.

While stationary, I use two external antenna's, which I built. I use two Yagi directional antenna's. The antenna's are set 24 inches apart, at 45 degree angles, on the horizon. I mount them on a 24 foot, fiberglass pole, which uses My Buddy flag pole mounts. The mounts are riveted to the rear of my Seneca. Now, the results: for three months durning the summer, we are caretakers at a Ghost Town, outside of Missoula, MT. The location is 11.9 miles from the nearest Verizon tower. Most boosters are good for about two to three miles, at best. With my antenna setup, not only were we getting 4G LTE connections, we streamed YouTube, Netflix and high speed internet.

Yep, better then a booster. I'm using the mofi as well. Works great with external antennas.

What are you using for external antenna’s? The WiFi is awesome, it works to about 150 feet outside of the coach.
