Where to place the CB Radio in our Seneca

We are facing the question of "Where do we put" the CB Radio in the cab of our 2015 Seneca.

We are interested in ideas that others have done in the Freightliner Cab.

While looking at the Jayco Class C Motorhomes forum page the Search this Forum button at the top is the most friendly thing.
Here are the first couple of previous discussions we found. Hope that helps. Enjoy;

What's a C.B.?

OH, you mean those old radios. Does anybody still use those? I gave mine up in the 1980's.

I got a Cobra 75WXST for my Seneca. There are 2 screws under the ash tray that fit the box perfect. Then routed the mike/controls next to the parking brake pushbutton. I can unplug it and put it in my toad. (jeep wrangler)

I was going to pull the ash tray and mount the CB there, but then decided to go with the center console which eliminated that as an option. That's why I ended up going with the overhead option. You can buy the plastic compartment from Freightliner for around $30. It's like the driver and passenger compartments--just wider. Then you'll have to make or have made a frame for around it. There's already nuts welded into the cab body--all you need is 6 bolts. You will also have to notch out the back of the plastic compartment and cut the mat to fit the CB inside. I used Velcro and one of the supplied thumb-turn bolts to hold the CB in place.
