When mine craps out all together, I'm going with this one. You can have a choice of where you want the opening. I like that it's a magnetic closure.

Screen Kit

I had to order parts for my screen on my Ethos. When I called Enterga they told me the vendor is this company.
SKU: GEN-2-RPR-KIT

https://euro-rvparts.com/contact-us

It's an entire kit and it was about 19$ but I also had to pay 12$ for shipping. Plus I think they only take PayPal.

Thanks this is what I was looking for. I am going to observe my dealer' actions. Like I mentioned iny initial post. They said the vendor told them that it can be repaired and didn't want to order the whole thing for them. The dealer want to order the whole thing. All I really need is the string or the sliding screen with string. The dealer will be updating me on this.

I too have an Ethos Li. 24

Yeah the kit come literally with everything. New string, the plastic guides top and bottom, and the plastic pieces that hold the string tight with an alien bolt in the center. The only parts that don't come in the kit is the metal rails, screen and the felt strip in front of the screen. Jayco/ Enterga makes the plastic panel behind the screen.

That's actually what broke on mine, the part that string attach to at the top and bottom with the alien bolt. Euro Parts told me that this usually fails because the rv manufacture uses power tools and not alien keys to tighten them.

But why did the string get broken?
I know mine originally was riding wrong and on the top edge of the door is a very small nylon bushing that was not making contact with the top rail. It was metal to metal and making for an very rough guide rail. I filed and smoothed it out. Did whatever adjustment I could. So far it's working. I just don't like how hard it is to slide. I know it's working as best as it can, but when I have a guest come by they have a hard time opening it.
I may just go ahead and order the kit ahead of time. Hopefully I don't forget where I put it when I need it.

I broke mine cause I had a floor mate to close to the bottom of the screen so if broke where it was the weakest, but maybe yours was the string. Here's a video euro parts sent me to show how the restring the screen. it might help.

If you were referring to me....

When I first got the van. I looked at the string at the bottom and was like oh no why did they use string and not wire what If it snaps?

I don't know. I forgot to monitor the string from time to time. I could have have caught it when it started to fray. And then wrap it. But when mine was operable I was having all the same problems y'all were having. I think the string was rubbing the inside of that plastic. guide where It goes through a hole with other string. Poor design i think.

So If the dealer is giving me the runaround on this. I may have to order the part and fix it myself. I paid extended warranty too which I should have not. I know better too. Whatever.

Thx @WPW. This video will help if the dealer doesn't come through and I have to do this myself.

Agree, it is a terrible design. Jayco should be embarrassed to have this on their RV's. Makes me wonder what other design flaws I will find.

I seen this. Do you have to disassemble the sliding screen and frames to install this one?
