Future of Stellantis

Hi folks. I am considering a class B. I have owned two Jayco TTs with few problems, so I have been looking at a Swift. I am concerned about the future of Stellantis and/or the future of Ram (Dodge). On the other hand, I would not consider a Mercedes at all and I’m not thrilled about Ford, the lesser of evils. Does anyone have a crystal ball to look into the future of Ram?

The frog ( tavarus) is running it into the ground. No more v8 cars and no more base model trucks. Plans on emptying the chrysler building. Sending over europeans to run the show because the Americans can't. Where is the dumpster fire emoji? Fain is threatening strikes, but they already can't sell what is on the lots anyway.
My boss put me in a 3500 promaster cab/chassis with a reading contractors body 3 years ago. Did not come with a spare tire. 100,000 mile report. Needs it's 4th set of tires and 3rd set of brakes. Currently on its 4th windshield. Took 9 months to get a factory drivers door mirror, the chinesium replacement mirror had it own issues. Aat sensor did not work, so neither did the ac. The power adjustments didn't. Took 6 months to get ebrake parts after the mechanism failed with the ebrake engaged. One wheel started leaking where the center is welded to the outer hoop. Of course they changed the wheel style and my match is no longer available. One wheel is now different from the other 3. The radio is having reception issues and about 5 % of the time it displays camera not available. Have smelled antifreeze since about 25k miles, but the bossmans mechanic can't, or doesn't want to find the source of the smell. Have to run the wee out of the v6/fwd to keep up with big city traffic. Being fwd with all of the weight on the rear axle has its own issues. Front tires spin on wet pavement, forget about snow. Have had to back down customers gravel driveways because I did not hit them fast enough the first time. The v6 doesn't get that great of mileage, but they made up for it with a little fuel tank.

My crystal ball told me to tell you to consider the Ford. (I think it owns some company stock to be honest.)

Thank you for the honest assessment. That tells me all that I need to know about the Promaster. I’ll pass.

they sell so many rams, and they are king of the Kill with the Cummins engine, why would they stop making them? I did read they might switch to just one HO engine instead of the standard and HO.

Just heard today that some shareholders are suing stellantis for misrepresenting the status of the company.

Both true, the company and Tavares are being sued for the reasons stated above. Ram heavy duties with the Cummins engine, for 2025, will all have the HO engine and a new hot ZF transmission, awesome combination. Ram is simplifying things, as Ford and Gm also have the one engine option.

Racex is gossiping that Walter P. Chrysler's great grandson sent a 17 page proposal to stellantis wanting to make Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth American owned. He linked the document that was sent,I did not read it. What stood out to me tho, racer x made no mention of Ram or Jeep.

Picked up my 2025 RAM 1500 with the new Hurricane 6 twin turbo, what a jewel! More power/torque than the old "hemi" and rides even better than my 21 if that's possible! The trailer tow package software has been tweaked and towing options within the package are great!
