Jayco Swift Li Reset

Every time I change power source I have to do a a artery reset. For example after driving before hook up to shore power I MUST first do a reset. Is anyone else experiencing this? How often do you have to do resets?

Good afternoon. Just to understand, when you say reset are you referring to the process explain in the Renogy manual under "Faults"

-) Turn ofT the venice ignition
4)Unplug the shore power connection
3) Turn oft the solar disconnect switch located in the rear service panel
4) Turn off the 12V by pressing and releasing the momentary 12V switch
5) Make sure the BMS monitor does not show that the battery is in the charging state
6) Press andrelease the "latching" switch, thiswill shut the battery down
7) Wait 3-5 minutes
8) Turn the battery on again, by pressing and releasing the self-locking switch, next press and hold the
self-resetting switch for 3~5 seconds to turn on the battery

or something else. This is the full process to reset the battery BMS. If its just the 12 v switch your probably only reseting the Firefly system which might be another issue all together.

Yes. It is this full process that you lay out in the steps. It is as if the system forgets how to accept a charge coming in from the utility.

Oh wow that’s crazy that you have to do that. What I would recommend if you haven’t done it already is to call Dehco, the one created the system design. 800-621-2278. They are extremely helpful with the LI system.

But I also wonder if yours is a part of a recall that Jayco has for the Firefly communications with the battery. It’s TSB# 22-076. Some of LI system didnt have a G4 connector. This could cause the battery not to communicate to the firefly system. I’ve had where I had to do a full reset to get my alternator to charge. But never the shore line. And it’s very rare.

Hope that helps some.

Thanks! Both my husband and I have spent hours on the phone with DEHCO. They are helpful, but it's annoying to say the least. I don't have time or the comfort to sit outside in my van for an hour in 100+ degrees to flip switches on and off every time I have an issue.
I did have that recall taken care of, and I am still having problems.
