Has anyone ever installed a Thule storage box on the Swift rook rack? If so what size? Issues?

No. I will eventually get a Thule storage box that installs at the trailer hitch.

I am very curious why they would mount the cross bars when they are not really that functional....

They claimed “kayaks” at the rv show. Good luck hoisting them up there. Plus, don’t forget the increased vehicle height depending on your kayak
