Radio Antenna - Unmount for covering or not?

My wife and I are new owners of a Jayco Swift 20T and are putting on a winter cover for the first tim. The radio antenna mounted high on the hood seems like it should be removed before covering since it sticks up so high. I found nothing in the owner's manual or literature we received that covers this. Any thoughts on:

(a) should the antenna be unmounted for putting on a cover; and,
(b) how to actually do an unmounting if needed?

Many Thanks.

There should be a screw at the base of the antenna. I loosen that screw, then rotate the antenna flat on the roof and retighten the screw.

also cover the stub with a pool noodle to keep it from chafing the cover.

Come spring, when you pull off the cover, don’t forget to push it back upright and tighten the screw while you are up on the ladder. Once you’re camping and realize you forgot it, you’ll curse yourself. (Ask how I know ).
