Terrain Watt-Hours at Idle

Hi. New member and picking up my Terrain next week.

I plan on traveling to the southwest this summer and was wondering how many watt-hours should I expect from the second alternate at idle and at high idle? I’m looking at the midcity engineering high idle kit.

Thank you in advance for your help.

PERFORM A THOROUGH WALKTHROUGH INSPECTION AND DO NOT PAY A DIME OR ACCEPT UNTIL ALL DISCREPANCIES ARE REPAIRED!!!
Yeah, I know all caps.
Buyer beware

Thank you for the advice.

I had a third party inspection completed and dealer is working on the list now. Wasn’t as long of a list as I thought.

I complete my walk through Monday.

Hopefully your dealer is better trained than mine. No knowledge of the solar charging system, LI battery, or inverter. Hopefully your third party had a good working knowledge of the charging system and proper battery recovery procedures.
Also verify that the A/C actually works. If the fresh water tank is full or has content, have the dealer demonstrate the draining procedures.
Talk to the other Terrain owner here. They might have additional valuable info to share.
Once they get your money, you will be out in the cold. You won’t get a lot of support from Jayco

During today’s PDI we saw about 110 amps at 51 v in a mock high idle scenario. (Holding revs around 1800 rpms). Will likely get the Mid City Engineering high idle solution.

Also not that the alternator will not charge at normal idle.
