12 volt coffee maker

What coffee maker do you use with no shore power?

This is the solution I went with, although I also have a percolator coffee maker in my RV as well, but I like this better. Not too mention it was about half the price as you see here a couple of years back. Also, I have never had any issue with this but some people reported that overheating the unit will damage it, so I only use this with enough burner heat to make this work and no more, which requires more time than an electric to make the coffee. However you can turn up the heat and it then would be fast, but you risk overheating the coffee maker. ~CA

Better stated, I like the coffee better when made with this, otherwise the percolator "works" very well also but it seems the coffee doesn't taste as good, not bad though. (imo).

A percolator, either over a campfire or on the gas range.

Just remembered. a percolator works well on a hot Blackstone also. Lots of options.

We have the same Coleman unit as CraigAV. Have had it close to 20 years and works great.

Get out the Melitta. Set it up, put in the filter and coffee, boil some water and pour it in… coffee! For an investment of $13.00, you can’t go wrong.

When outside, we do perked coffee on either our propane stove or on a grate over a campfire. Nothing smells more inviting than coffee made outside using a percolator.

I use a water kettle and a coffee press. My wife drinks hot tea, so it works out well. The coffee press is easy to clean.

Coffee boiler.
Bring water to hard boil.
Reduce heat, add coffee, simmer at least until the soapy bubbles go away.
Remove from fire/burner.
Immediately pour a little cold water or add a few ice cubes to settle the grounds.
Enjoy!

Our 120 volt coffee maker quit while we were traveling. I ended up using a French press that the wife had stowed. Had to boil the water on the propane stove and pour into the press. Add coffee and stir. Aside from the clean up routine, I actually liked the brew better than our 120 volt drip coffee maker produced.

Hario V60 pour over. Hand grinder. Heat water to just below a bowl using a kettle on the stove. About the same as I do at home.
