120 Volt Blue Indicator Light on Receptacle Cover

I just plugged in the TT. All indications are that everything is OK. EMS reports no issues, Microwave has power, etc. But, the blue indicator light on the receptacle cover where I plug in from shore power is out. I can't find anything in the manual stating that there may be a problem, other than a burnt out bulb. Anyone else have this experience?

jw,

Mine went out about a year after I bought it. That was 6 years ago, and (as far as I can tell) the Earth is still spinning on its axis; the birds are still singing; the fishes are still swimming; and the squirrels are still trying to steal food from my bird feeders . . . and everything else in the TT is operating as it should.

Although someone with more Jayco Knowledge than I have may chime in to the contrary, as far as I can tell, it's either that the bulb has burned out. or the wire that feeds the bulb has broken from the constant movement of opening & closing the flap. I wouldn't worry about it!

Update: Tested all the 120 circuits. Everything OK. Must be the bulb.

Whew! Glad it was something simple. Electrical issues can be dicey. I'm going to look at mine after work, but is there a way to change that cover where the bulb is located?

No way to just change the cover. It is one piece, with the receptacle. I had to get a new one after one of the internal wire connections broke.

I have several cords with indicator lights. Some stop working after a while but the cord is still in good shape. One 30a cord on my camper works but is hard to see in daylight.

Right. I figured the cord/connection is still fine, just that the indicator light gave up. Nice to see, though, for a quick check.
