12v issues

Hello all,

I recently bought a 07 Jay flight 27bh. I'm a newbie on trailer camping. I'm wanting to upgrade my interior lights to LED. Has anyone had good or bad experience with the brands off amazon. Any input is appreciated.

I used these in my travel trailer. I converted ALL lights to LED using a variation of these panels.

Not exactly cheap, but they're the right brightness, and they're the right color. I bought a few of them at a time over the course of about 2 years before I finally had all my fixtures converted.

Look up the replacement for the incandescent bulb and then you can pic how much you want to spend. I have had good luck with them.

Here are some that I have ordered.

You can replace just the bulb's with LED ones or you can replace the whole fixture.
I have had good luck with both from Super Bright LED's.

From another thread that I posted the following....

I have tried purchasing LED's starting 5 years ago. I started with the made in China models, CHEAP and performed like they were cheap. Individual LED's started dying one by one. I tried many on Amazon and unfortunately the did not come close to the specified Kelvin range (color), most were not bright enough. On purchase from Amazon, I received the SAME LED that I purchased from China. The bulbs all seemed to be in the 300 Lumens, way to dim. Most of the LED's did not have a Lumen rating but said Bright or Very bright. DW hated them.

I found a site that SO FAR (3 years and going strong) meet my requirements. They list the EXACT (as much as you can specify a LED) Kelvin (Color), and they have the Lumens listed with the bulb also. I purchased 1 (natural light) and 1 (cool white) rated between 900 and 1100 Lumens which is equivalent to about a 75+ watt bulb. After testing them (DW approval) I purchased 8 for the living area and 4 Cool White LEDs for the bathroom (Excellent choice per DW), nice and bright for shaving and doing the hair. I also purchased 2 Cool white LEDs for the light above the sink, which DW is very happy with. With 8 in the living area, it is plenty bright for us. They stay on all day and into the night (powered by the Sun of course). They will cost you a little more for each bulb, 10 bulbs gets you a discount.

They include an adapter for each type of socket.

Get a quote for parts from your local dealer. May not be as much as you think and you can see them in a current model

Save yourself some aggravation and replace the whole fixture. I used these in my last trailer. You will not find a brighter light.
