16 years in the making

Finally after 16 years we ordered a 2020 Jayco 330rsts. We just sold our 2003 Wildcat 29 BHS. The new owners are picking it up tomorrow. Bitter sweet as our kids entire Childhood was spent with the Wildcat. Going to miss that camper.....but boy are we excited about our next chapter of camping with the Jayco 330rsts. We love the layout and the new huge front storage on the 2020 model.
Now we need to decide if we go pick it up in 6 weeks when it is finished or just wait to pick it up Until early spring? Advantage to spring pick up is the warranty won't start until we pick it up. The wife and I really want it now but we are going to try to stay disciplined and wait till spring. We are excited after 16 years with the Wildcat to get something new.

Congrats..

Since the dealer has to pay for it up front will they keep it that long?

Welcome and congrats on your 2020 Jayco 330rsts. Your Wildcat might belong to someone else but you'll always have the memories.

Yeah, believe it or not they actually agreed to keep it until late March just so we could start the warranty then. However we won't gain anything by doing that because the camper would be winterized anyways at the end of the 2-3 year warranty. But we would be able to put more money down by waiting.
Only thing I don't like, is the dealer will be storing outside and I have an rv carport I will be parking it under. Would be nice that the camper would never be exposed to winter snow. I live within 70 miles of the factory and the dealer is 3 miles from the factory.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Jayco.

We waited until March for ours. If you brought it home, the warranty clock would be running for months while all you could do with it would be admire it under your RV carport.

If it were me and I could store it at home I'd pick it up when it was ready. A week of mild temps during the winter you could check out all the systems and if anything that needed warranty attention could be addressed during the winter and you'd be ready to go come springtime. These campers are easy to winterize. Congrats on the new camper.

Congratulations on your new camper. We purchased our 2019 330 RSTS about a year ago. Took it from Michigan to Florida and back last spring and really like our coach. We have a pole barn and over the winter did a couple mods and got familiar with the coach.

I agree. Grab it when you can. Not sure how the dealer is with doing warranty work but if you wait then have to have something addressed you'll be put in line behind everybody else tryin to get their camper ready for Spring an or warranty work
