2 Blow Outs in 24 Hours Single Axle Woes
I have a 184 BH single axle it's a 2014 so the tires were dated, had a blow out late at night changed that with the new spare. Next morning after buying another spare(glad I did that) I checked the cold PSI pressure and they were 50lbs which is what the tire said. Made it 3 miles and had another blow out on the new spare. It was a 97 degree day. Camper is garage kept and the spare was new and always covered. Guess I'm asking what tire pressure do you guys run? And if it's 50psi cold and it's a 100 degree day do you lower your pressure to compensate? I assume when hot the tires increase in pressure so should a guy start about 40psi?

No. A cold tire is an ambient temperature tire. If your tires need 50 PSI, inflate to 50 PSI after its been sitting for a couple hours.

After blowing the same side tire twice I pulled the hub apart and checked the bearings and repacked them in the parking lot of tractor supply, but they were fine. I was afraid maybe something was wrong causing the hub to heat up. The tires when running were very hot to the touch, hubs also warm. I limped it home 2.5 hours at 55mph with the blinkers on.

How fast do you normally drive? Those tires are rated for 65...

What were the date codes on the tires? Sounds like you just had some bad tire luck with old tires. New tires with recent date codes should solve the issue.

Increase to the next load range if you can as well.

What flavor tires do you guys run? I had bought generic tractor supply tires and rims but can take one of them back and may just replace the tires on my rims. They are C rated Load Star brand.
I never run over 70mph when towing, I was doing 65mph when the others failed. Both were within 3 miles of pulling on the road like when they were warming up. First time I stopped for gas and just pulled back on the road, the 2nd one was the first time I pulled on the interstate after waking up eating and leaving for the morning.

I put Maxxis on my trailer after the original Tow Max slipped a belt.
Sold the trailer with the Maxxis tires on it. If I needed more trailer tires, I would probably buy Maxxis if I were going to replace with trailer tires (and not go with standard tires). But I've heard good things about Carlisle and Goodyear as well.
I don't own a trailer any more though, and I'm a "Michelin man" for vehicle tires.

I ran Maxxis on a former trailer and was very happy with them. Our current unit came Goodyear Endurance tires and they have been great so far too.

This. I had two Blowmax tires break belts within a week of each other. I found this when I jacked up the trailer to replace a different one that was bad. I put Endurance load range E tires on. I have a Jay Flight that’s about 8500# loaded.

The brakes may also need checking for proper adjustment. That can also cause overheating if adjusted to tight.

It's more money but I suggest getting a new spare to match. It sucks to have a flat and then be let down by your spare. On the other hand... You can always just pull it on a flat spare to the next town.

Goodyear does not make some of their smaller Endurance tires in E load range. I went thru this a few years ago with Discount Tire...the manager pulled up Goodyear website and showed me they didn't even list a E range in the tire I needed. I picked up new D rated Goodyear Endurance tires this weekend, really like the looks of them. They are 8 ply, super heavy and thick, and have a beefed up sidewall with edge guard. Really good looking tire. I'm getting them mounted at lunch today. On the side they say for max rating inflate to 65 psi. So would you guys run them at 65 psi all the time or something less? My old tires were C rated so these are an upgrade.

I would run them at 65 (max sidewall pressure).
