'20 Jayco 174bh 12v Wiring Routing

Hey All,

Planning on adding some 12v usb outlets to our trailer, by the dinette, on the wall of the queen bed (air conditioner side), and another 2 in each bunk. I'm still in the planning/dreaming stages and cant get into ripping things apart right now. Just woundering if anyone knows/has the typical wire routing diagrams for the 174bh's. I emailed Jayco and they gave the me the response "since its still under warranty - go pound sand" essentially.

I know the bunks will be easy since there are lights right there, but the dinette and queen bed might require a little wire running, and I'm trying to find the path of least resistance.

For example, the under cabinet lights for the queen bed, where does the power from those come from? The front or sides, then from the roof or the floor?

...I mean I could always get creative with a chainsaw to find the routing too!

I do not have your TT. But from my experience most of the wiring all runs through your cabinets.

I spent a few days just poking around my TT to figure out how they got wires from point A to B. I would start off by locating your HVAC ducts and water pipes. Lots of wires follow them. Look behind the various false panels.

Many of the cabinet walls and bases are double walled, with wires hiding between the layers. With some time and patience you can remove the 1000 staples to gain access without damaging anything. Do NOT try to remove the staples in one try. Pry up a little and move on to the next one, come back and pry a little more and move on. If you go fast, the thin panels will fracture. The overhead cabinets that I gained access to, I did from the inside shelf base, and never stapled the panel back in, as gravity holds it nicely in place.

Awesome, that is a very helpful reply, and makes a lot of sense. Hopefully they've stuck with that practice of running the wires between the cabinet base, if so that should make it possible to do what I want to do.
