2009 Jay Feather x213 into a Cargo Trailer

First off, I was looking forward to being part of this forum, learning, sharing and excited about my new family camping trailer before it all came unraveled.

Long story short: I purchased a 2009 Jayco Jay Feather for my family and it turns out it was a salvage cover up, once I got it down the road it started to fall apart due to a previous accident. I thought I could fix the few problems I noticed, but once I got into it the damage was so extensive there was nothing I could do. I made the decision to transfer all the good "guts" into a car hauler and make myself a one of a kind rv. Here is a link with pictures if anyone wants to see the total destruction of a Jayco trailer and a bit of the process of putting it back together. I kept the same exact floor plan as my original Jay Feather x213.

WOW!!!! You have some serious talent. How much time did this project take? I really love what you did with the closed cell insulation. You should be proud. I hope you and your family enjoy that trailer.

Thanks for the comments. I got the car hauler at the beginning of May and I am about a week from completion. Its had its ups and downs but now there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

We had a 2009 213 and when we picked it up the counter was pulled from the wall just a little bit. With in months it was pulled from the wall two inches. Jayco was great and replaced the frame. If you search on line they had a lot of problems with the frames on the 213. There great service is the reason I bought from them again.

Very nice. No reason to leave the forum. I think that earns you a star by your name at the least. How long did that take to complete and how much do you think you spent to get it completed?
