2010 32BHDS Thermostat upgrade/mod

Just wondering if anyone here has done the thermostat upgrade/mod to a digital programmable?

I tried it this past weekend and it worked great for the AC. The only problem I'm having is that when i need the furnace to kick in sometimes it works then other times it resets the thermostat and wont start up cause the default temp is too low.
Seems to me that its trying to draw more voltage than the thermostat (2 AA batteries) can put out in voltage and that's whats causing the reset.

Any suggestions or guide how someone may have wired theirs? AC is a coleman mach and the furnace is the atwood hydro flame.

thanks

I did this mod and it works great!! It keeps the TT a more constant temp and with out the big temp swing before the AC/HEAT turns on or off.
You do need to be a little bit mechanically inclined because it is not a direct wire for wire transfer and you need to modify the thermostat and add a micro switch to control the fan speed (HI/LOW).
My unit on the TT is a Colman and I used the Hunter thermostat, I used this article during my mod maybe it can help you with your trouble shooting. Also check you batteries to make sure they have a good charge still in them, I have heard of that causing strange effects on the system. Good Luck.

Thanks for the welcome! So far we're loving our TT!

As far as the thermostat goes, I'm thinking the one i got is faulty. I tried everything and nothing. I'll have to head south of these weekends and pick up a Hunter seeing i cant seem to find any here in Canada. Amazon here I come......

I'll keep you posted and hopefully it'll work out and I may be able to help someone else down the road.
