Good Morning,
I am new to the forum and RV's acquiring my Designer 35RLTS this year.
We have a Carefree of Colorado powered awning and had it extended and retracted a few times this year. All of a sudden it would no longer extend.
There is no clicking or sound of a motor trying to operate. The switch has been proven good by following the Carefree troubleshooting in their manual using a volt/ohm meter. The fuse is also good by testing the continuity with a meter and I have swapped it with a known working fuse. However, the one item that tells me this is an electrical problem, is the LED on the fuse panel. Each fuse has its own LED and once removed or blown - it lights. The fuse for the awning does not light when the fuse is removed. I am assuming that the direction of 12VDC would be - 12VDC source/fuse/awning switch/awning motor. Am I correct?
I wanted to test the awning motor to rule that out with a separate 12VDC supply however the manual indicates removing the motor cover using the screws at the back of the cover. The awning is retracted so I can't get access to them.
The fuse is also marked ODS Slide Out but I'm not sure which one that is (Opposite Drivers Side?) but I am assuming it will not operate either.
Just to rule out all possibilities, some, if not all power awnings will roll up in both directions. Meaning, if you continue to push the extend/out button, the awning will reach the end and then roll back in the wrong direction. To check if you haven’t already, push the switch to retract the awning, does it go out?

Thank you and I know I did try the switch both ways, however I will try that again when I am there on the weekend to listen if I hear anything different.
