2011 Jayco 165 Sport: Excellent Craftsmanship.
Well we answered an ad in the Daytona paper for a 2011 165 sport "never used" for $9800. The lady said she bought for husband to work out of state but that fell through and the TT sat in outside storage since she bought it in 2012. We drove up 40 miles to see it. It was dirty on the outside as expected. The inside was immaculate and never slept in nor toilet used and smelled and looked brand new. We were in a quandary. Buy it or let the deal go. We bought it with out trying a thing.
The trip home went well, aired up the tires from 30 to 60lbs checked all the lights and the brakes worked well. Washing it the the dirt came off and the fiberglass shone like new. Rolled out the awning it was in great shape.
Its been raining now for 3 days and inside there is no leaks. Went up and checked the roof. We were lucky as the membrane has some mildew stains that rub off and the sealant has slight cracking but nothing deep enough to stick a finger nail into, Whew!! Lucky. I am amazed at the craftsmanship. Every screw and staple perfectly sunk. No exposed wires, excellent appliances, everything is square, upholstery perfect! its like a finely crafted home that was custom built. I'm blowin away.
Now the question is does anything work! haha! the battery is dead. The stove works and we had a 30amp service put in at the house but I have not plugged it in yet. Wish us luck I'll keep you posted.
PS. Bathroom floor seems slightly higher than the rest of the floor? different material? room for plumbing? solid just slightly higher. Was wondering why.

Congratulations on the great find! You will have lots of great trips with that trailer. I don't know why the floor may be slightly higher, but I'm sure others will be able to help you. Now go plug that thing in and test everything else.

congratulations! we had a 2005, it was great! the only issue was that the shower gray water drained into the blank tank. I have read a couple people have ha the same problem. just keep an eye on your black tank on your first trip out.

Ours have two tanks controlled by seperate pull valves as to which dumps down the sewer hose. We like our 165 but starting to get tight with a growing family of 4. Our bathroom floor is level with the rest of the camper (maybe a design change?) and glad to read all is working as it should!
