our camper will be outside for the next 2-3 months before our pad/garage will be completed. The camper has been winterized and has the glacier package. my question is should I cover the outside roof top a/c unit with a bag? this is my only concern right now. Any help with this question or anything else I should look for be aware of will be appriciated.

It wouldn't hurt to cover the A/C. It would help keep rainwater and assorted crud from building up inside the unit. A bag would probably work, especially since it would be for only two or three months, but there are covers made for the job.

Before you take the RV on the road in the spring, be sure to check all the roof seams, etc. to make sure no potential water leaks snuck up on you during the winter.

When you look at the local RV dealers lots just how many bags do you see??

I wouldn't count on dealers doing anything more than the minimal amount of winterizing necessary to protect an RV.

All the used RV's (trade in's) and some of the new are owned by the dealers. I have never seen an air conditioner wraped up in North Idaho or Eastern Washington. Winters can be quite severe there. I would think they would want to protect their investments so they are trouble free in the spring when they hopefully will sell them. When the snow gets real deep on the roofs they will remove most of the snow so they don't collapse.

You would think but the horror tales I've read strongly suggest otherwise.
