2013 Eagle Model 328RLTS Trailer

Seriously thinking about buying this 3 slide unit and wondered if anyone had some comments about it? We like the opposing rear slide outs. They dramatically open up that area.
Happy trails,

Happy trails,
I had my unit in for service recently and looked at one of these units while I was at the dealer. I like the floor plan but the kitchen cabinets seem to be lacking. I didn't see any that would accommodate my pots and pans. My unit has two such drawers beside the stove. I have the opposing slides in mine and yes it does open up the living room area. YMMV

We purchased one recently.(Our first camper ever) We went on one outing and love it!!!!! We keep the pots and pans in the drawer under the dinette. Plenty of room. It is so spacious it doesn't even feel like a camper. It feels like towing an apartment around with you. We feel we made a good choice. We just got done winterizing it.

Our 330RLTS has the opposing living room slides and we live in it about 9 months a year. Storage for pots and pans is not a problem and we eat most meals in the trailer.

We have a 2011 330 RLTS and the opposing slides are awsome! WE actually use the pull out sofa beds for the kids and this makes a great bunk area. Plently of room to get coffee going while kids are lazy )

Well we went to Jayco and they were kind enough to pull up a new 328RLTS for us to look over. They even brought us a 5th wheeler for us. We were looking for a 3 slide unit with at least a queen bed. The floor plan did not work out for us. The bedroom is so small compared to our present 322FKS plus Jayco does not have an exterior pass through storage on this unit.
For the past 6 years we have been very happy with our Jayco but now its time to go over to the dark side.
After much research we've decided on an Open Range Journeyer Model JT337RLS trailer. Has 3 slides- regular queen bed (60x80")- 2 Air Conditioners- composite structure - standard R-38 insulation(roof & floor)- washer/dryer prep- ceiling fan- corian counter tops- pass through exterior storage- its 36 feet long- 100 inches wide- 145 inches tall- and get this it's lighter than our present Jayco.

Truly an amazing trailer Open Range is.
Happy trails folks- see you down the road.

Open Range do make a nice trailer. I've spoken to a number of people who full time in them and are very happy. For what's it worth Jayco travel trailers were voted number one in the Trailer Life Survey. I guess there are more out there than any other brand so it's not surprising. How did the price of the Open Range compare to the Jayco you were looking at?

It's hard to compare pricing on the two. The quote on the Jayco Eagle was $32,000 but it was loaded with all the goodies. Quoted price on the Open Range Journeyer was $36,900....

Open Range has quite a few things that Jayco doesn't offer. Here's just a few:
2nd Air Conditioner connects into existing ceiling duct work.
Frameless windows
100" wide and 145 inches tall
Fantastic fan in kitchen
Max air vent cover
10 gallon hot water tank
10 year warranty on cabinets(cabinets have hidden hinges)
Corian counter tops
LED ceiling lights
Removeable ladder
Insulated slide out floors
Digital thermostat
Power stabilizefrs with lock arm bars
Corian Island on castors
Stainless steel dual sinks
Washyer/dryer prep with cabinet in bathroom
16 inch aluminum wheels
Window treatments are curtains with shades (not wooden boxed)
Composite wall aluminum frame construction
Slide out pantry
And they have a nice exterior console for water hook ups- flushing system- antenna connections- light ect... with a door so that all these connections aren't just going into the side of the trailer.
The front stying makes the trailer look somewhat like a 5th wheeler.
Open Range is making a production run of the JT337RLS Trailer on Jan 8th and we are driving down to see them plus a plant tour.

Finally if Jayco had made an Eagle with a regular queen size slide out bedroom (3 slides total) we would have jumped on it.
Happy trails,

We saw the 328RLTS at the California RV show in October. Wow, with the slides out Sea Gypsy's right it feels like an apartment!

After looking over your list of "things not offered by Jayco", I find it strange that a number of them were included as standard on our 2004 Designer. I guess they either don't offer them anymore, or perhaps only on 5ers.
