2014 Jay Feather 16XRB

Hello:

Three months ago I purchased a used 16 XRB. It has been great. We noticed a cosmetic issue on the wall, and the dealer told me it was just the structural member behind the wall. I would love to know if you agree, and to understand what is behind that wall structurally. I have attached a picture, and it seems to be a perfect square.

Please let me know if I have anything to worry about here. The material is rock solid, just bumped out a little, probably more noticeable in the pic as it was taken at an angle and it was shady.

It does seem possible that there could have been water at some time before I purchased, as right above it is an area that is caulked and needs to be checked every 90 days. Or naybe it is something else.

It looks like the framing inside the wall. Keep in mind that the walls are a sandwich that's all glued together and that includes the aluminum frame. Having had 2 Jayco hybrids it seems like as they get older some of the frame ribs shows up. As they said this is just cosmetic.

So if there was water damage it would look different? I just find it odd that right above that area is the area that is caulked that could have leaked before we purchased. What exactly is behind the wall, 1 1/2" square aluminum on the top, bottom of area and sides? Is it just flexing there? It is not happening elsewhere? Is it possible that the awning stresses that area since it is right there?

Sorry, I tend to over analyze things. But if it had leaked I would want to suggest that the dealer sold me something and did not disclose it. If its just cosmetic, its no big deal and I'm happy. I just don't want to see future de laminating issues.

Thanks for the response.
