2014 Swift 234 MBH-should I buy used?

Hello,
First post here, prospective owner of a 2014 Jay Swift 234 MBH. This is the stick and tin version of the 23MBH, otherwise identical floor plan with Murphy bed, dinette slideout, twin bunks, dual entry.

I’m considering it as our first TT (wife and four young kids), with an eye on eventually getting he new-for-2019 24BHM, which is a vastly improved version of this same floor plan, once we know if it’s good for our family and camping style & frequency.

Not gonna lie, I’m hesitant to buy because of the stick and tin exterior with an exposed underbelly, small windows, no ladder, other smaller things. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Swift version of this floor plan and how well it’s held up (or not). Thank you in advance.
