2014 White Hawk frameless crank off track

The first time I opened the bedroom frameless window, it went out but not back in. The crank has two rollers on the end of a V and need to be in a slot on the window. The crank is pop riveted onto the sill. The V does not spread wide enough while it is attached to the sill to go into the slot. Do I have to drill out the pop rivet to fix it?

PS I am an hour from the dealer so I was hoping to fix it myself.

Be careful trying to fix. Ours was hinged in the middle but window slipped out of the hinge and shattered. Our dealer had to order the entire window. He will then have to remove the screws holding the entire window and just replace it. I hope it is under warranty as ours is a 2014
