Question 2015 Jayco 27DRLS Refridgerator

Purchased a new 2015. Fairly new to rving, but have enjoyed so far.
Have a question. This is the first time I have noticed that the refrigerator does not operate when in transit. I have been told that no units that use lp gas will operate when in transit. Is this true?

I hope it can work , other wise every time you move you will lose all your food ,

on a side note , I am back in the market for a trailer and been going back and forth between this model and a bunk model , How do you like the DRLS over all ?

Thank you
mike

Is this a 27 DSRL Whitehawk?

This is not true. You can use the refrigerator while driving down the road. You will be utilizing the LP the operate the system. As long as the fridge is in auto mode, when you plug back into shore power, it will automatically switch back to 120volt power. Just make sure you LP tank is on and full.

Before you depart on a trip, plug your TT shore power in and turn on the refrigerator to "pre-chill" a few days in advance. Load up and go.

The wife and I like it. We have the table & chairs (no dinette u-shape) and sofa arrangement. Love the swivel rockers, it tracks well and seems to pull better than the cruzer 22 foot I did have.

My mom just purchased one in May. She absolutely loves it.

We've got the same year and model. The fridge works on LP when in auto and not connected to power. Before you take off, if the trailer has been in storage, you should purge the LP lines. I light a burner on the stove. After that, the lines should be filled with LP and the fridge should work fine.
