2015 slx 287bhw Air conditioner model 13500

Hello All,


Sitting here tonight eating supper and my A/C unit got louder and louder. I'm almost positive it is the fan bearings. Is there any way to find out the exact model of the unit? I haven't climbed up top yet because I don't have a ladder handy but I thought I could price a fan motor and see how hard it is to switch out.

Remove the plastic a/c shroud you should see a mfg tag on the a/c unit with the info. There is also motor info on the motor it's self. Most of the time all you need is the motor info and do a search to find one.There not hard to replace I've replaced several.

Thank you!!! Of course this morning, the fan is running fine without any screaming. Located one on Amazon for a little over $100 if we do end up needing it. I have a feeling that last night was kind of a warning yowl and it will go completely sometime soon.
