2016 26bh dinnette removal

Am constantly having to repair the seatback closest to the door. Had anyone removed that "bench" and used chairs instead?

I could see how you're having issues with it. Ours is brand new and just feels so flimsy. My 3 yr old was leaning on it and it was making me nervous. I'm curious to see what others will say about it also.

Have been looking into a stainless "L" bracket long enough to span the bottom edge as well as where the benchtop attaches to seat back. It has pulled apart on us a few times and is only held be staples from factory.

The first thing I did when I picked up my 26BH was put a couple L brackets on the bench. Much better now.

I don't know what your bench looks like but I did remove both bench seats and now use chairs. I also made oak table legs which are much sturdier than the round metal poles.
